The cold and rainy weather is really making me want to crawl under my sheets and cuddle up with my stinky furball already. As mush as I want to, I choose not to cause I've still got a photobook to complete before the weekend.
Anyways, here's something that I'd like to share.
Listening through its lyrics reminded me of the darkness I've walked in. Come to think of it, the darkness I've gone through wasn't exactly as painful as the many others that I've seen and heard throughout the past few years either.
Trust me, it wasn't sheer luck that I'm no longer walking in that once familiar darkness. I just met some great friends who offered me a lot of sincerity, unconditional love, and selfless sacrifice. Not to forget a great family, who stood by me regardless.
It came down to choice, really. I could choose to embrace them, or just ditch them entirely for some other bunch. My choice was to keep them, appreciate them, and love them unconditionally as how they have loved me.
I've came to understand that sometimes we need to make decisions which would ultimately bring happiness. Not just to ourselves, but also to those who risk themselves selflessly for the well-being of others.
It is then we can grow to understand how simple acts of kindness can bring forth happiness to ourselves and to those around us who are worthy.
