Day trip to Tanjung Sepat, Selangor

The Manfriend suggested that we should do a day trip during the Raya break. So on the second day of Raya, we drove over to Tanjung Sepat to do some exploring.

Bro and June tagged along with us this time.

June, occupied with the Ipad while bro and the manfriend took turns to line for the supposedly good Oyster Omelet which was served at this little coffee shop somewhere in Tanjung Sepat town.

The brother.

My puffy face indicates how heat can increase my crankiness.

The famous steamed buns at Hai Yew Heng (海友兴包点). Little village was so pack with visitors till their seafood "bak kut teh" and mouth watering cendol were all sold out. The line outside this steamed bun shop was so long till the point that we didn't bother to wait in line just for it.

We then made our way to the Ganofarm, where mushrooms and Lingzhi are grown.

Here's the place where you can get freshly harvested mushrooms at a fraction of the price. There are also other mushroom and Lingzhi products that can be purchased at their little store.

If you're wondering what Lingzhi is, here's a photo of they are grown.

And the other various mushrooms that are grown in this farm.

These are just the few rows of mushrooms that were put up on display.

Here's a closer look of the Lingzhi.

They've also included facts that you didn't know about the mushrooms and Lingzhi.

NEXT STOP!

Seafood dinner at Ocen Seafood Restaurant. According to the blogposts and reviews that the Manfriend went through, this place is highly recommended.

Their Curry Squid was really fresh and we could still taste its freshness.

The standard must have Stir Fry Vege dish.

Their famous and extremely delicious Claypot Tofu was really worth out 2 hour wait. Think sharks fin soup minus the sharks fin, with more flavour and freshness. They should start serving this stuff at banquets and stop killing them sharks.

Thankfully the brother brought his Ipad along cause I was kept occupied throughout our wait. I'm not exactly the most patient person under hot weather, so it was good that I had something else to amuse me or I'll probably go all rampage on innocent lives.

Another recommended dish was the Hot Plate Oyster Omelet. Our somehow turned out to be the normal Fried Oyster Omelet. I'm not sure why too but we didn't bother asking cause we were running out of patience and there were more people coming in already.

NOT TO FORGET,

The breathtaking sunset at Tanjung Sepat.

Our view from the restaurant.

On the start of the local Lover's Bridge.

Takes your breathe away. No?

Bro took over the wheel and we went home after sunset that evening. I'll probably head over to Tanjung Sepat again someday for the steamed bun and fresh seafood. Other than that, I'm not sure if it'll happen cause I'm really not a fan of the heat.
