There's also the Welcome to Taiwan website which I would love to share. We found it extremely useful in planning our trip and it's definitely recommended as it has loads of essential information. It's also very recommended for those who are bad at planning as they have recommended itineraries catered to your interest.
We had fun and definitely wanted to extend our stay to explore more. Too bad we were there for other matters and ended up practically drained before we could explore further.
Oh! and the shopping part was left out intentionally. Hehe!
