Full steam ahead!!!

Life's been throwing me awfully lot of lemons lately. Most things just don't seem work the way I want them to. In another way of looking at it, this can be an opportunity for me to learn to overcome new challenges in life. And I'm proud of myself for being able to muster such courage to fight on without shedding a tear.

For the vroom vroom record, I've recently clocked my fastest time from toll to toll during my first attempt of late evening driving, complete with some heavy showers at some parts of the highway. The skies were clear until I said, "this is getting boring, I think I'm ready for something more challenging."

On the other hand, all that wear and tear has took its toll on my faithful laptop after almost three years. It went brain dead a couple of days ago, and is currently going through various testings still. Thankfully the harddisk is okay and I can still continue on with my assignments with the aunt's laptop.

No, I didn't start screaming or pulling my hair off when I came home from class just to find out that it went brain dead. I just gasp, called the mom, told her that there's a prob, fed the cat, made calls to some other friends, and headed off to bed instead. Fetched the boy after class on the following day, and had lunch after sending the laptop off for data backup and further testings.

By the way, congrads to the boy who just got offered a leading engineering related position at an airline!

Lastly, I foresee an extremely busy week coming ahead. With two assignments due, and a brain dead laptop. All I can do now is throw in as much quality efforts, and pray hard that it'll be worth it by the end of the day. Wish me luck!

I'm just being busy again

The whole idea of having a short break sounded relieving at the beginning. But I was wrong! Maybe that's why they call it the assignment break.

Gone were the days that I could afford to go out almost every night for some drinks with the friends. These days, it's all about ideas, more ideas, and more fresh ideas. Assignments are constantly kept on mind, but not solid enough to be put into concrete form. Guess this is a sign that I'll need to keep up with efforts of making things happen.

Thou shall stop procrastinating! Argh!!!

Chivas Event @ Euphoria, Sunway

Suzanne sent me some photos taken during work at the Friday event.

With fellow crew members.

Paparazzi shot.

Me and Suzanne checking out the event out after work.

And I even got to meet the author of BlushBerry herself!

Not to forget friends whom I've not seen for quite a while. Also got the opportunity to meet ChrisTock, Yatz and his infamous long hair on the day itself. Thought I was drop dead tired after the event, I felt happy to be able to meet and work with new people and to catch up with the older ones.

By the way, Congrads Yatz for being Nuffnang's Featured Blogger of the March 2009!

Tagged, I'm IN

Below was what Kenn the classmate did on Facebook a couple of days ago.

He tagged me as "the one that won't take your crap."

I was left speechless to wonder whether I'm actually THAT serious these days?! Check out what my fellow classmates has to say when Josh was tagged "the chill one," Izwan "the nap lover," and Sam "the gangster."

With classmates like these, who wouldn't be enjoying classes.

Sayonara, Evil Sniffles!

Being sick also reminded me a lot of my girls, and the days they use to get so irritated when I start flooding my desk with mucus drenched tissue papers. Ah, the good old times. How I wish we could all see each other as often again.

Surprisingly, I recovered miraculously fast this time. Till the point that I could even take up a job on Friday evening which required me to stand and work on heels for a number of hours. Basically a front line job where me and my fellow crew mates are suppose to usher in the pre-registered guests of the Chivas event at MOS Sunway. In harsher terms, I was THE door bitch. *evil giggle*

Oh, and I even conned Cincau into it too! Poor darling felt so exploited.

I’ve been caught up with so many things recently, that I don’t have time to put abstract ideas into concrete posts. Come to think of it, this could also be the reason why I practically ignored the fact that I was sick and continued working hard on my plans to dominate the word. Evil me too needs to have goals that are as big as the earth times two. Or maybe three. Hehe.

Okay, I was literally kidding.

I Hate This Part

It's just that particular time of the year again, when tissue paper becomes a need, and herbal teas replace the usual Earl Greys. This annual affair has just got to stop!

Got back from the family home at exactly noon on Tuesday. Left the afternoon tutorial with a runny nose, and have been down with cough, sniffles, fever, and some headaches since.

The Need to Cultivate Them Skills

Here's the thing. I've been struggling to sharpen both my time managing and planning skills for many moons now. No matter how hard I try organizing my written notes and task lists, they some how gets scattered and go missing almost instantly. Thus explains why I tend to miss certain datelines.

But I ain't going to allow my weaknesses to set me back.

Trust me, I've even spent my Saturday afternoon attempting to synchronize both phones with the laptop. Sadly, the results wasn't exactly close to positive. Guess it's high time that I invest in something like the HTC Viva. Then again, there's always the cheaper alternatives available at Toys R' Us. And yes, I do mean those powdery pink Barbie ones.

Week 2 - Let the Assignments Pour In

Honestly, I’ve been caught up with quite a number of things since I got back on Tuesday. There are just so many things to do, and so little time. Well time’s not exactly the case since I still need to work on my planning and time management skills.

For the record, I do feel intellectually challenged at times too.

Anyways, back to the things that I’ve been caught up with recently. Lectures seem to be much heavier these days and assignments are already coming in. Not to forget the important materials that we need to read through, analyze and understand.

Oh, and I’ll be off in a few hours. Have a great Sunday!
