You can't blame a condo cat from wanting to prance out to the garden whenever he gets the chance to. And honestly I do feel bad for that poor fluff, which literally makes such sad noises during our journeys back home. I knew that I'll have to make it up to him this time.
So I promised Mush that I'll let him roam around the garden when we get back to the family home. Under the condition that he needs to get a bath after that. We don't want no dirty kittehs cuddling on the same bed as us of course.
These days, the fluff even knows how to empty he's bladder and bowels before trips. He even went into he's traveling box by himself and sat there waiting while I pack up the final bits. Guess all my time and effort spent on raising this evil furball does pay off.
Got back to PJ on Tuesday morning, and the fluff is currently taking up my bed space.

That 200km Journey
Here's what I caught while on my way back to the family home for a couple of days.
Gone were the days when I use to look forward to such journeys. Especially ones at 200km/h that sends adrenalin down my veins. But after a while, it was no longer a novelty and I'd rather catch up on my sleep instead. These days, I'd be extremely happy if someone else offers to drive.
Maybe I should consider opening up a spot for a driver, just like what Ian had suggested.

Project Layout: MCC246
Classmates Kenn, Josh and myself took up the responsibility to help create and manage the MCC246 class blog for this semester. Seeing that this could be another opportunity to make use of my html coding skills, I volunteered to do the layout.
Unfortunately, our lecturer has decided to restrict the blog only to students of the class.
Comments on the layout will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Week 1 - Adapting
Though I didn't need to adapt to the already familiar surroundings, I still need to be comfortable and learn to work efficiently in this whole new structure. There's also those familiar faces that I've seen, and those course mates that I've once worked with. But somehow, everything feels so different this time. In a good way of course.
I foresee myself going through a busy year indeed.

Finally
Two workshops down last week, and class starts tomorrow.
Year 2 Semester 1 Units
MCC219 Television & Video Cultures
MCC236 Media Audiences & the Public
MCC246 Professional Communication
I've changed my other major from Marketing Management to Media Studies. Simply because it would cost way much more in terms of time and money.

Valentine's
Whether you're single or happily attached, allow me to wish you a
Some call it the over rated holiday. Cute and cuddly bears of all sizes over flowing gift shop windows, prices of flowers going way higher than any other ordinary day, and specially named food menus that come with a big tag even. Some take months to plan their romantic get-a-way, some even think of ways to celebrate under a minimal budget. But I'm sure that Valentine's is more than just flowers and a box of chocolates.
Was just about to say "thou shalt not ask the close guy friends what they're doing on Valentine's," when the close friend MSN me to ask what I was actually doing. I then made reservation at my favourite cafe a week in advance, but only found out yesterday that they decided to replace their a la carte menu with a Valentine's one.
The lovey menu didn't convince either one of us. And the only way I could have something out of the Valentine's menu is that I had to pre-order my food. So I gave up my reservation. Besides, they've also told me that the place is going to be darn pack tonight. Hope the lucky couple who takes up my favourite spot by the terrace would enjoy it as much as I do.
NO, I didn't go on a hate spree and join the Anti Cupid Squad.

Cleaning Mode
Don't ask me why, but I've been cleaning up things that I no longer want or need. All that piled up clutter has finally took its toll on me. Guess it's time for them to go.
Had my laptop reformatted a few hours ago. Only hassle I'll have to go through now is all that software installing. At least all that junk has been cleared up and everything's running smoothly. But my photoshop CD can't seem to work this time. Hm...
Sorry Aaron, I can't go online NOW.
Post Note: I just realized that it's Friday the 13th! That explains the reason I felt that everything would go wrong when I woke up this morning. Indeed, I scratched my bumper a bit and a wire exploded in front of me when I dropped it. Must be the bad karma I earned when I accidentally electrocute the close friend some time ago.
It wasn't funny this time. Mush was just beside me when I dropped the cable. Two live wires touched each other, and exploded. Even the fuse got tripped!!! Imagine what would happen to be if I had touched those wires?!

Final Moments of the 6-Month-Long Holidays
The long weekend marked the end of my excessively long holidays. Finally, I'll be able to head back to college and enjoy being a student again. Trust me, I've never been so eager... Furthermore, I couldn't be more thankful to be able to spend the last moments of my holidays with the best friend. Ah yes, what more could one ask for.
Our long weekend was spent lazing around over food and chats as usual. We were so lazy to the point that we decided to watch the lion dance performance from above, rather than to join the crowd under the hot sun. Also managed to watch RedCliff2 with the close friends and cook dinner on one evening.
Basking under the warm sun on a lazy afternoon helps rejuvenate my senses. Plus a few more laps in the cool waters with the best friend. Perfect. Just in time to start a whole new semester.
I know I shouldn't say this, but I just love having her around. From those crazy moments spent over the dumbest conversations, to discussions over who's who in ancient Chinese history at the movies. How I wish my other darlings were here with us now...
By the way, I love my tanned skin. teehee~

Throwing Out What's Left
After copying out some old school photographs, I scratched those Discs and send them flying into the trash. Bet no one would have thought that this day would even come to exist.
Guess when a person lets go of what was once important, they must be darn sure that their done. I don't mean just one little part of it or something, but the whole process of getting out, moving on, and never looking back. In fact, I'd prefer what's done to be done. Besides, I've stopped believing in second chances a long time ago.
Oh, and the best friend called with good news yesterday. Wee~

Fragments of the Dead Lurve
Ah, my dead Lurve. Come to think of it, it's been exactly two years since I walked out that door. How much things have changed, how different we've both become. Those wounds healed over time, and I figured that its end was rather a blessing instead. Cause I know, that I'll never be the happier person that I am now if it didn't end.
Here's the thing, yours truly was scrolling through some old CDs to retrieve some photos yesterday, cause the classmates wanted them to be posted up on our Facebook group. Photos taken during our SC4 Dikir Barat days to be exact. But those old CDs also mean one thing - the Nightmares of dead Lurve's past.
Okay, I was literally kidding. In fact, I ended up scrolling down memory lane. Looking back at all the sweet memories we once made together, it made me smile again. I've no regrets, because it was what I wanted at that point. At least I know, how it feels like to love, to be loved, and to be done.
I'm happier because
Life's all about the choices, it is how we deal with our fates and what is supposedly destined. It comes down to the point of what we actually want in life, and how we reach out to grab them or to make them happen. A friend of mine once posted, "Fate decides who walks into our paths, but it is the heart that decides who stays."
Note that I'm not asking anyone to go stalk the person you favour or something. Cause I'm sure when a person stays away, he or she wants you to do the same too.
Most friends especially, would know that I'm not the kind that believes in second chances. I believe that when something doesn't happen within a certain period of time, then it'll just won't happen again. Besides, wasting time trying to work out something I don't want or that will never happen is not even the last thing on my mind. Trust me, I'll brush off those who try to tell me that things will not work if I don't try, because I figured that certain things are just NOT worth even at least a try. Seriously.
But, I'm proud that I kept my pride and walked with my head up high. Cause I know that I have at least an integrity to hold up tight. I learned to move on, to love and to appreciate what god has blessed me with. And it has made all the difference.
May this post inspire those who seek a happier path.

Brother's Belated 18th
28.01.09
The poor brother celebrated he's actual birthday in camp, so we bought a cake and sang a birthday song with the aunts, uncles and cousins to make it up to him.
Natasha dropped by in the afternoon for some tauge chicken (芽菜鸡) while on her way up North. Managed to catch up a bit with her over lunch before she resumed her journey.
29.01.08
Traveled back to PJ with the family in the morning. Had lunch and headed over to UncleLee's place in Kepong to catch up on the old times. They dropped me home and off they were, back to Ipoh. And that was the end of my CNY celebrations. Short and simple. End of story. We seriously need some new traditions next year.
Wait... I'm still up for YeeSang!

Niu Year Celebrations
I was already back at the family home one week prior to Chinese New Year. Helped mom out with the preparations for the celebrations, so on and so forth. No wait, that wasn't exactly accurate. I was the one standing beside most of the time, chatting away with mom while she does all the work.
Anyways, it seems to be that everyone's been busy posting up endless photos of their new year celebrations while I snooze mine away. Well, I was actually enjoying the time spent with the family. Visiting and gambling activities on the other hand, were kept minimal this year for whatever reasons.
We then adjourned home, with the cousins on tow. Over loads of food, alcohol, and endless laughter, the uncles, aunts, cousins and cousin in law bonded.
First day of CNY was spent with the family. We literally snoozed the day away.
Dad brought us to grandaunt's place, where we met a whole other set of extended family members. Which also includes grandaunts and granduncles whom the family have not seen for years. Then there were also those whom we've never met before, like the new in-laws and little cousins.
Our CNY celebrations was no where close to elaborate, but it was no less filled with much love. Which also means that we need to have some new traditions next year. And thanks to all that food, the body is now showing signs that workouts are much needed.
By the way, I missed out YeeSang this year. Sigh!
