Project Makeover: Study Area

We all know how much of a distraction our computers can be. Especially when we're attending to our MSN, Skype, Facebook or anything alike. Not to forget, all that idle time accumulated while we wait for a page to load, or even a simple reply from someone on the other end.

Knowing that I can never fully concentrate on work in front of the computer, I figured that having a study area is the next best thing to do. Since my degree course is about to commence soon and there's still time in hands, I took the opportunity to plan, shop for the things I need, and get done with it.

The simple things I used. Of course, the drill and balancing gadget was loaned to me from a friend of mine, who insisted that I should actually do this whole project on my own. What great motivation that was.

Pre Project Makeover.

Post Project Makeover, complete with lighting.

It was my first time drilling holes on the wall, and I must admit that I did make my fair share of mistakes. Thankfully I still had some putty fillers to make it up to it. The best thing of this project is that it didn't cost me much, as most of the items were bought at bargained prices at Ikea. Oh wait, I must credit WeiLin for landing a hand at assembling the table too.

Who says a daddy's princess can't install her own shelves now, huh?!
